Get me there to Church by MICHELLAR is a beautiful and heartfelt track about the joys of marriage. It covers the duality of hesitance over such a big choice and the confidence that they don’t want anything else. The artist mentioned that the track was recorded across continents. “Through the unique recording process that spanned from San Francisco to London and Staffordshire, UK, Michellar's single captures the essence of distance and longing.” That sentiment is so beautiful and I couldn’t have expressed it better myself. There is a chemistry and connection between the singers which goes beyond vocal technique.

You can tell they understand and relate to not just the lyrics but the deeper, more subtle, emotional currents within the track. That sense of authenticity creates contagious energy which you can’t help but pick up on as the listener. A subtle detail that really added to the composition was the clapping throughout. Not only did this add a great deal to the rhythmic component of the track, but it also creates this sense of unity between every sonic aspect. It felt like it represented the friends and family coming together to celebrate their union. I love musical choices like this that connect the sonic and narrative aspects of the song. It pushes the narrative forward and injects this power and confidence into the song from beginning to end. The voices ebb and flow between these subtle moments of self reflection in the verses to confidence and bold energy in the choruses. Both of these sections are fantastic but the bold choruses feel especially meaningful. I think it goes back to that authenticity, key to the piece's identity. It feels more authentic in the bold vocal sections and that candid voice creates a unique sound that is a privilege to listen to. Get me there to Church captures every side of the narrative around taking the next step in a relationship with a bold purity and a sonic confidence that makes it special.
