UK V!BES by PRONTO VALID is a hyper confident alternative rap banger that would play perfectly in any London club at 2am. The instrumental reminds me a little of B.O.T.A by Eliza Rose with these ethereal synths that slide in and out of the mix. The absence between them makes as much of an impact on the track’s vibe as they do. Subtle aspects like this elevate the track’s production style and create a tone that is unique in the alternative rap space. The song combines a poppy tone with a flow and lyrical style that feels grounded yet confident at the same time. The vocalist raps with so much conviction it’s contagious. I felt myself getting more confident as the track went on.

As I’m based in the UK myself, I feel like there is something intangible that PRONTO VALID captures in this track. The mention of nicotine filled lungs reminded me of the chain link smoking areas and the sneaky vapes in the club. It felt like this track is aware of the cheeky charisma and joyous rebellion at the core of British night life. I even love the light touches like the sample vocal that comes through in certain sections. It adds a tonal diversity to the track, emphasising its higher register and providing contrast overall. It also adds to the sense of immersion, as if you're in a uk club. There’s always someone yelling faintly behind the music, it makes the track feel authentic and adds to the soundscape. This track can engage with you on whichever level you’d prefer. It’s a fun and confident banger but it also has some sonic complexity that impressed me. I love tracks that can walk that line of being sonically smooth without compromising the vision. Lines about feeling like a celebrity and being the man also feel super relevant, amplifying the confidence at the track’s core and reminding us of that feeling when the night life hits just right and you’re left feeling like you’re on top of the world.
